This Privacy Policy explains how Alin Olaru, operating thestorylens.photo (“I,” “me”), collects, uses, and protects personal data submitted through this website — specifically through the contact form on the Your Story page.

What I collect

When you fill in the contact form, I collect:

• Your name
• Provided contact method (email, phone number or social media handle)
• Any message or details you choose to share

I don’t collect any other personal data through this form, and I don’t use tracking or profiling on submitted inquiries.

Why I collect it

This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry, discuss your needs, and — if we move forward — to plan and deliver the photography service you’ve requested.

Legal basis

I process this data based on your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting me directly (see below), and I will delete your data unless I’m required to keep it for another lawful reason.

How long I keep it

• If we begin a collaboration, I keep your data for the duration of that collaboration, plus any period required afterward for delivery, invoicing, or legal record-keeping.
• If no collaboration goes ahead — for example, if we discuss your inquiry but don’t proceed — your data is deleted shortly afterward, and not retained.

Who else sees it

I don’t sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, it is solely used for the purpose of getting in touch to discuss a potential collaboration. Your submission is done through a WPForms form which then sends the data you have entered to the main contact email (hello@alinolaru.com) informing me about you request.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data I hold about you
• Ask me to correct or delete it
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to how your data is processed
• Lodge a complaint with Romania’s data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), if you believe your data has been mishandled
